COVID-19 Update 22 March 2020
Dear Parents and Whanau
Thank you for your support as things change at such a fast rate. We are working hard to try and create the best of a very difficult situation where we can all value our students learning.
Learning over the coming weeks is going to look very different for our students and our staff.
We are being nationally directed on many levels at the moment and this means our planning can change very quickly. Please take the time to read each of the updates we provide as this will help us all work together. There are some significant changes for the coming week.
Due to the high number of our staff who have been identified in the Level 2 Covid update alerts with either medical conditions or age preventing them from being at work, the MInistry of Education has allowed us to make the decision to begin a rostering system for students.
This will support us to ensure the health and wellbeing of our community, our students and our staff remains paramount.
The rostering plan for this week is as follows. Please remember that this is subject to change depending on any national requirements.
Date |
Who is at school |
Tuesday 24th March |
Juniors |
Wednesday 25th March |
Seniors |
Thursday 26th March |
No students - it will be a full off site testing day to ensure our online platform is functional for all students |
Friday 27th March |
Seniors |
If supervision is required for your students on a non rostered day we will provide this.
All work that students are expected to be doing is in each teacher’s subject google classroom. All students should have checked emails to make sure they have joined each of their google classrooms.
Our next update will include our practical expectations for online learning. Please expect .this update tomorrow
