Te Aroha College 2023 Strategic Plan Community Review
As we start to rebuild stronger relationships with the community, one of the key parts of this relationship is getting feedback from our parents and whānau on a regular basis.
2023 has been a year of transition as I have learnt more about the school, the students and staff and the community. Our 2023 annual plan was not confirmed until mid Term 3, far later than desirable but a reflection of the timing for a new principal to be appointed and start to get a handle on where the school is at.
The 2023 annual plan has three key strategic areas of focus; attendance, engagement and achievement. These areas have been developed from community consultation from Term 1, analysis of our attendance data, our NCEA achievement data and the student retention data.
I have attached the annual plan and would ask that you provide feedback on each area. lt is the board's intention to review the 2023 feedback, analyse the data for 2023 in regards to attendance, student engagement and NCEA achievement to set new annual goals for 2024. This will be published and distributed to the community, March Term 1 2024.
