Science Year 11

Science in Year 11 at Te Aroha College offers a range of choices for all students. Students choose from four classes that have a range of Science learning contexts. For those students planning further Science studies at Years 12 and 13 the option is to further participate in one of the extension Science classes. Students have specialist teachers and the new laboratories and equipment are useful tools to facilitate learning.

 

Year 11 Science courses focus on the scientific process, enabling students to discover and interpret scientific knowledge, develop positive attitudes and interests about science. They will also learn to use scientific knowledge and processes to both understand the world around them as well as participate in decisions and actions that affect their day to day life.
