Maths NCEA Level Two

Mathematics at Level 2 is not compulsory. However, we strongly encourage students to take Level 2 Mathematics as it is a requirement of many tertiary programmes.

 

Two Achievement Standard courses are offered provide a range of learning opportunities.

 

12 Math 1 is for students who intend upon taking Maths at level 3 in either Calculus and/ or Statistics. It is a prerequisite to getting into Mathematics with Calculus at Level 3.

 

12 Math 2 is for students who either envision Level 2 as being their last year of Maths at college or who intend upon doing only Mathematics with Statistics at Level 3.
