English NCEA Level One

At years 11, 12 and 13, students choose between two programmes of NCEA assessment: an academic programme, and an independent programme.

 

The academic programme at year 11 is designed for students who intend to sit NCEA formal exams at the end of the year, as well as completing internally assessed Achievement Standards.  Twelve internal and twelve external credits are offered in this course. The independent programme at this level is for students who intend to gain only internal credits throughout the year.
